On 4 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri.

On 10 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Cabinet’s member Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani and discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation. In the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to promote business and economic relations, as well as to establish cultural and human contacts. The representatives of the two countries also signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of bilateral political consultations in order to strengthen their political dialogue.

Monday, October 30, Vilnius – President Dalia Grybauskaitė has left for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The aim of the visit is to strengthen economic cooperation, open access to new markets and further develop Lithuanian trade across the world. The President will attend a business forum, meet with Emirati leaders, sign agreements on cooperation, and conclude negotiations on the export of Lithuanian foods. The visit has been arranged at the invitation of the United Arab Emirates.
