On 5 July 1994, Jordan recognized Lithuania de jure.
On 5 July 1994 Jordan recognized the re-established independent State of Lithuania de jure. Diplomatic relations were re-established on the same day.
From 2006 to 2010, Dainius Ginutis Voveris served as the first Ambassador of Lithuania to Jordan after the re-establishment of independence (resided in Egypt).
From 1994 to 1998, Khaldoun Ahmad Al-Dhaher served as the first Ambassador of Jordan to Lithuania (resided in Russia).
