Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Cairo presented Letters of Credence to President of the Arab Republic of Egypt

On 23 May 2016 H.E. Mr. Arvydas Daunoravičius, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Egypt, presented to H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

After the ceremony the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Egypt exchanged views on the potential of bilateral cooperation between both countries and the ways to make use of it.

H.E. Mr. Arvydas Daunoravičius is the third Lithuanian Ambassador in Egypt. Lithuania and Egypt established their diplomatic relations on 22 January 1992. Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Cairo was opened on 2 December 2001.
