Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania presented Letters of Credence to President of the Arab Republic of Egypt
On 15 September 2021, H.E. Mr. Artūras Gailiūnas, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Egypt, presented to H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
After the ceremony, exchange of views took place on the activity of the Lithuanian-Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission.
Lithuania and Egypt established their diplomatic relations on 22 January 1992. Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Cairo was opened on 2 December 2001. H.E. Mr. Artūras Gailiūnas is the fourth Lithuanian Ambassador in Egypt.
