BILATERAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND SPAIN REGARDING REPRESENTATION IN INSSUANCE OF SCHENGEN VISAS ENTERED INTO FORCE ON JUNE 1, 2012
On June 1, 2012 bilateral agreement between Lithuania and Spain regarding representation in issuance of Schengen visas has entered into force. Lithuania will represent Spain in issuing Schengen visas in Armenia. Spain will represent Lithuania in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Kenya, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.
The residents of the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Kenya, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador and Dominican Republic wishing to come to Lithuania will be able to apply for a Schengen visa at the Spanish Embassys in these countries.
Earlier Lithuania has concluded similar agreements with Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Norway, the Netherlands, France, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany. Currently, Lithuania is represented in 52 countries in various regions of the world. Lithuania represents other Schengen States in 12 countries.
