The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Cairo, is seeking to recruit an experienced driver. The coefficient for the official salary is from 1.48.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum Secondary Education
- Holding a valid and appropriate driving license
- Experience driving 4X4 wheel drives
- Specific driving experience in the country and sub-region
- Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations
- Skills in minor vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Willing to work flexible hours
- An understanding of ethical work practices, information privacy, confidentiality and security principles
- Responsible and punctual
- Fluent in Arabic and good speaking and writing in English
- No criminal records
- Military statues – exempted or completed
- Good health condition
- Previous professional experience with international organizations could be an asset
- Knowledge of communication equipment such as radio, GPS is an advantage
Duties:
- Drives Embassy’s vehicles in accordance with Embassy policies and procedures, abide by Egypt road rules
- Drives Embassy‘s staff to official appointments, delivers/collects mails, documents and other items for the Embassy
- Performs duties of driver in a courteous and professional manner, being mindful at all times of security issues and road conditions
- Develops and maintains good knowledge of location of offices, buildings and other sites visited by Embassy staff in Cairo and Egypt
- Plans and researches driving routes and destinations to ensure timely arrival at specified destinations
- Maintains cleanliness of Embassy‘s vehicles (interior and exterior), notifies all errors and immediately informs about it responsible person at the Embassy
- Loads and unloads Embassy’s vehicles, transports cargo to and from the Embassy
- Other duties as directed by the Head of the diplomatic mission
