Job Vacancy – Office Manager

The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Cairo, is seeking for an experienced Office Manager to join the administrative team. The coefficient for the official salary is from 4,42.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum Secondary Education
  • Experience with logistics tasks (visa, permits, customs clearance, …)
  • Good organizational skills, and the ability to take direction, respond to challenges and meet deadlines
  • An understanding of ethical work practices, information privacy, confidentiality and security principles
  • Responsible and punctual
  • Fluent in Arabic and good speaking and writing in English
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, Internet Explorer)
  • Good health condition
  • Previous professional experience with international organizations/ embassy could be an asset
  • Holding a valid and appropriate driving license
  • Experience driving 4X4 wheel drives
  • Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations; skills in minor vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Willing to accommodate different tasks in a flexible way, also regarding working hours and travelling to the field of operation
  • No criminal records, military status – exempted or completed

 

Duties:

  • Organizes maintenance of the Embassy’s premises and equipment
  • Ensures cleanliness in the premises of the Embassy, provides the Embassy with necessary household, office goods, furniture and other equipment
  • Manages Embassy’s housekeeping staff
  • Gives monthly reports about Embassy’s expenses and fuel consumption of vehicles to the Head of finance of the Embassy
  • Drives the Embassy’s vehicles in accordance with Embassy policies and procedures, abide by Egypt road rules
  • Performs duties of driver in a courteous and professional manner, being mindful at all times of security issues and road conditions
  • Liaises with local authorities and other contacts in following up on matters related to the Embassy’s administration (customs clearance, visa, permits, …)
  • Makes purchases for the Embassy and pays invoices as requested by responsible person at the Embassy
  • Helps organize Embassy’s events and meetings
  • Other duties as directed by the Head of the diplomatic mission
