LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENCE TO EMIR OF THE STATE OF KUWAIT
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania His Excellency Dainius Junevičius presented Letters of Credence to His Highness Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during a formal ceremony on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, . The ceremony took placeat the Bayan Palace in Kuwait and was attended by the senior officials of the Bayan Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.
In the discussion following presentation of the Letters of Credence, Ambassador D. Junevičius and H. H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah discussed bilateral relations.
Ambassador D. Junevičius presented compliments to H. H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on behalf of the President of Lithuania, H. E.Dalia Grybauskaitė. In turn, H. H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah extendedover an invitation to the President of Lithuania to visit Kuwait at earliest convenience.
Diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Kuwait were established in 1994.
Ambassador D. Junevičius is the second Lithuanian ambassador to the State of Kuwait. He resides in Egypt.
