LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENCE TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

On April 10, 2012 Ambassador of Lithuanian Dainius Junevičius presented Letters of Credence to the President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, accrediting him as non-resident ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.

Ambassador D. Junevičius conveyed greetings of the President of the Republic of Lithuania to His Highness President of the United Arab Emirates and to the people of the UAE. In remarks as he received the ambassador, His Highness the President reiterated the UAE's interest in extending bridges of friendship, cooperation and tolerance between UAE and Lithuania.

Ambassador D. Junevičius is residing in Cairo. He is Lithuania's second Ambassador accredited to the United Arab Emirates.

Diplomatic relations between Lithuania and UAE were established on October 16, 1992.
