REMINDER FOR ALL FOREIGN STUDENTS: APPLY FOR A NATIONAL (D) VISA ON TIME
The Embassy kindly reminds that in order to study on a full time basis (study program that lasts more than 3 months/90 days) in Lithuania international students need to obtain a National (D) visa.
We would remind students that they need to allow sufficient time to apply for a National (D) visa in order to ensure their application is successful. Visa applications should be submitted not later than August 1st for those who plan to start their studies at the Lithuanian university/college in Fall Semester and December 1st for those who plan to start their studies at the Lithuanian university/college in Spring Semester.
Normally the Embassy requires 10 to 14 days to process visa application, however in certain cases application time might be extended. Student applicants are requested to plan their time accordingly.
Delays in submitting visa application within the deadlines indicated above might lead to a failure to start your studies on time.
As per regulations of the Embassy student visa applicants does not qualify for emergency visa interview appointments or reduced application processing time.
